Hey, so I'm new to this fourm and well any forum actually, so if i do something wrong, tell me wontcha?
So I recently came to own a Honda Eve nq50m (n150m -1?)
There are a few issues with it like the primary clutch, the teeth that the dog gear from the kickstart matches up too is messed up. (Thats a whole other story)
My issue that I am here to ask about is that I'm not really sure how to turn the engine off? The key isn't even needed to start it, although it is needed for the lights and stuff.
So does anyone know about it and maybe a solution?
Thanks in advance.

I own a Honda Eve and a Honda Nifty Fifty.
The Eve has a wiring harness, coils, throttle control and a starter motor from a nifty, since relying on kickstart isn't fun.

Re: Honda Eve Ignition Problem
A simple "Welcome" is all I can offer Sam.
Hang around, and give some time for replies on this question.
The forum has been down a few weeks and the members will start drifting back soon.
The description you provide indicates some previous owner has altered some wiring.
One question, Is there still a "KILL" switch in place on the throttle housing ?

No, The throttle housing is pretty basic just the throttle really, another difference to the spree is there's no battery therefore no autostart button either. One thing that makes what you sound correct is that the connectors on the ignition are both female on the ignition and on the wiring loom, so they don't really work together.motormike wrote:A simple "Welcome" is all I can offer Sam.

Re: Honda Spree (Eve) Ignition Problem
I worked it out, turns out spree ignitions aren't compatible due to there being no white plug on the wiring loom of the eve, gust a gr and a bl/w so I had to resolder the back of the ignition switch and now it works fine!

Re: Honda Spree (Eve) Ignition Problem
Glad to hear you overcame the issue.
Can we assume that a Spree wiring harness had been put into your Eve ?
